Time Warner Cable currently has a position available for a Human Resources Business Partner (Generalist) to support our Technology and Field Engineering employees. Other areas and/or groups may be assigned.
The position is based in either Charlotte or Raleigh and requires travel up to 50 within the Carolinas. May be requested to cover other areas of the country based on business need.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide business partner support to construction and engineering leadership and their employees. Establish strong partnership relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Overall support is approximately 500+ employees at various locations.
Proactively drive employee engagement by conducting touch:base meetings, round tables, one:one's to determine opportunities to increase employee productivity and satisfaction.
Play an active role in coaching and leadership development in order to drive business goals and objectives as well as establish succession plan for client executives and their leadership team.
Attend client staff meetings to establish business knowledge and develop strong relationships with key leaders.
Partners with business managers to provide human resources solutions that make their businesses more effective and build employee engagement.
Manage HR projects. Partner with HR team within department, corporate HR, recruiting, compensation in order to provide best:in:class HR support to business clients.
Identify roadblocks to business goals and objectives and partner with HR and executive leadership to resolve/address.
Previous HR Business Partner experience supporting clients preferably in a technical environment.
Solid HR Generalist experience including employee relations, compensation, recruiting, HR project management.
Strong coaching and performance development experience including executive coaching.
Ability to travel as needed.
Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, and state and federal law.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to flex communication style to all levels of an organization.
Ability to multi:task and drive results in a fast:paced, complex environment.
Education and Experience:
A bachelors degree and 5+ yrs of Human Resources generalist experience. Min. 2+ yrs experience in a HR Business Partner role. Masters degree in Human Resources Management or MBA a plus.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred
PeopleSoft or HR system experience preferred
